5 Reasons The Harvest Moon Pond is the Ideal Wedding Venue -Madison, WI Wedding Photographer

1. It's gorgeous.

Yes. It. Is. Gorgeous. The willow tree that you can get married under is *swoon-worthy* and also a beautiful place to take photos before or after. Combine that historic tree with the pond, the walking trails and the in-season flowers that pop up along the grounds, not to mention the amazingly huge lawn...and you've got a backdrop for any photo you've been dreaming up since you first imagined yourself in a white dress. The options are endless, and your only limit is your creativity!

2. Indoor AND Outdoor Ceremony Options (the Goldilocks find of wedding venues!)

Wisconsin is a place of amazingly beautiful summers, I mean, that's why we live here, right? So if you've been dreaming of sunshine and gentle breezes on your wedding day...this is the venue. The gorgeous Weeping Willow below is a popular place for ceremonies and photos, and there is also a cement deck area that an arch can be put up on as an alternative.

So, if Mother Nature has other plans, -OR- you're a bride-to-be with fall or winter plans...having an INSIDE option is, of course, a necessity.

Plenty of brides (including myself) rolled the dice with a Wisconsin summer wedding completely dependent on the weather, but the back up indoor option is so great to have!

3. Pick your own caterer!

Yes! The Harvest Moon Pond loves your creativity, your plans, and know that your budget,

tastes, and style go into making your catering vendor decision. This wedding was a Jewish wedding, so the couple was so delighted they could bring in a Kosher caterer, Café Adamah (located in the UW Hillel) and Greenbush Bakery for donuts! Also, even if you're not Jewish...that was some of the most amazing food I've had in a long time, highly recommend Café Adamah!

The Harvest Moon Pond doesn't limit your catering choice (or take a cut from the caterers like some venues do!) They support other local businesses, and that is so awesome.

4. The Bonus House

Did you know they have a full HOUSE on the property, that sleeps 12!? You can rent it for the

night before (based on availability), and the night of your wedding, so all you have to do is walk over to your bridal suite! This would be a great option if you want to have all the girls hang out the night before, and also a quiet place for you and your new spouse to collapse into after the big day! It's so convenient, so thoughtful and so pretty.

5. Location, location, location

Of course this applies to any venue decision! The Harvest Moon Pond is just 20 minutes from Madison, and so easy to get to. Your guests will appreciate not having to drive far to celebrate with you, and there are lots of hotel options just down Hwy 51. There is ample parking on site, and the venue is also accessible if you have guests who need those accommodations.

So you can see why the Harvest Moon Pond is such an amazing wedding venue, located just minutes from Madison, WI. I hope you consider them for your wedding venue!
